When the ExamTime team were students, we were always looking for that exam edge. How could we maximise our time for top results? We used a lot of hacks – setting goals, visualising information, working in groups, analysing past papers. We reckon we got pretty good by the end of it all..
So we’re bringing that experience to you. We’ve gathered all the lessons we’ve learned over the years and built tools to help you study smarter too.
How can ExamTime help you achieve better results?
Breaking down the workload into manageable chunks of information makes it much easier to get through a course load of work. So we’ve made goals and tasks an integral part of ExamTime for students. Set goals and add tasks to focus the mind and track progress.
Visualising what you need to achieve and breaking them down into tangible components makes the tasks much easier to understand and accomplish. Use mind maps to map out your course or understand topics and the strands within subjects. Our mind maps are also ideal for brainstorming essays and assignments.
As the exams approach you need to start remembering those key facts. ExamTime lets create flashcards to focus in on key information you need to remember. You can test yourself on your knowledge as you go, so that you’ll know quickly how well you’re retaining the key information.
Working on subject and topics that have come up before in exams certainly helps you focus on what might come up in the future. ExamTime for students allows you to build past papers and quizzes around the exams you are taking.
Sharing and collaboration are a key component of learning. But we believe all communities start with one person and then grow out from there, so initially we’ve focused on personalised work spaces. Over time we will spread out our collaboration and sharing features enabling you to build or join groups and teams.
